A decade and more of waiting for the dawn’s bleak light
Cuddling, embracing, comforting herself
Humming, sighing, tears under the eyes
Enduring the coldness and darkness of the night.
Numb by the pain, heart is freezing
Tired with beating, then suddenly it ached
Enveloped with fear, it turned almost dead
Trying to recoup but damage is there.
Still giving love, patience and hope
Trying to see a sense in everything gone
Trying to look forward, gasping, clasping, holding
And hoping the rope is strong enough to hang on.
One given chance it’s all there is
One more try to stop emptiness
Unconditional love is still there to give
Please don’t make a mistake for she has death.
There will be no more after this last hope
If all fails, then darkness shall come
She will be gone, never return, nothing shall be left
So please be careful, never miss, fail nor neglect.
